Windows 11 Hello integration: 1Password won't accept pin if it contains alphanumerics. It works with all numerics. I tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail.

  • Hello @djrfree! 👋

I'm sorry that you're unable to unlock 1Password when using an alphanumeric PIN and Windows Hello. If you're seeing a specific error message then can you tell me what it is?

Can you also tell me if you're still able to unlock the PC itself, and other apps, using the alphanumeric PIN? If you try a different PIN that contains characters other than numerals then do you see the same issue?

I look forward to hearing from you.

I could not recreate the problem. Apparently, under Windows Hello integration, 1Password sometimes asks for the password rather than the PIN. If I pay careful attention to the unlock option being requested, it works. I probably entered the pin when the password was being requested.
    Thanks for motivating another test!

  • Hi @djrfree, thanks for letting us know your findings! Hopefully all is well from here, however if you notice any further unexpected behaviour that doesn't fit this explanation, don't hesitate to reach back out and we'll be happy to investigate further 😄
