changing user email

I am looking to change about 40 Users email address, these users never confirmed the new email address change when it was changed in okta about a year ago. Their 1password accounts still show the legacy email address. Is there a way we can trigger those email changes again? How long are those confirmation emails valid for? We're planning on migrating to using SSO will the mismatch emails create new accounts for those users if we add them to the new app? Trying to figure out a solution that has the least impact on user experience for those very special users
