.

After updating to the latest nightly build, 1Password crashes.

I've done multiple reboots with the same result.

I also uninstalled and re-installed the beta.

    Hello @dscaglione! 👋

Thank you for the report! It looks like our development team is already investigating, hopefully a new nightly is released soon without the issue.

For anyone else who runs into this issue, you can roll back to the stable version for now by following these steps: To stop using the beta (Make sure to follow the steps to uninstall the nightly and remove your local data.)

    Hi, fellow testers,

I'm delighted to be using the latest 1Password Nightly and macOS Sequoia builds, and it's fantastic to be part of this community of testers.

Today, I encountered an issue after installing the latest 1Password Nightly build. Despite my troubleshooting efforts, the application crashes on relaunch and remains nonfunctional. I believe our collective expertise can help us solve this issue.

Upon attempting to open the application on macOS Sequoia, I received a vague error message stating, "The application 1Password.app can't be opened."

I performed the following troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the issue:
    1. Restarted my Mac
    2. Restarted the Mac into Safe Mode
    3. Deleted 1Password Nightly
    4. Deleted data in Group Containers
    5. Restarted my Mac
    6. Downloaded 1Password production
    7. Updated to 1Password Beta (safe and unaffected by this bug)
    8. Updated to 1Password Nightly (which crashes and becomes inoperable)

Despite these steps and replicating the issue, the workaround looks to be downgrading to 1Password Beta or Production. As a result, I am happily using 1Password Beta for the time being.

Please see the attached screenshots. One displays the system error upon opening, and the other shows the app's build as displayed in the Finder inspector.

    Best always,
    Richy 💙

Thank you for the reports! Our developers are aware that the nightly version is crashing upon being opened and are working on fix to be released as soon as possible.

I recommend rolling back to the stable version (or beta) for the time being. Make sure to follow the steps to uninstall the nightly and remove your local data before reinstalling the stable version.

    Hello everyone,

Our developers have resolved a bug which prevented users from opening the nightly version of 1Password for Mac. Since the bug in the previous version prevents 1Password from opening, you'll need to manually uninstall and then reinstall 1Password to get the new version:

    1. Make sure that you have a current copy of your Emergency Kit and that you're signed into 1Password on another device or browser.
    2. Uninstall the beta release of the app and remove your local data.
    3. Install the stable version of 1Password for Mac
    4. Open and unlock 1Password.
    5. Click your account or collection at the top of the sidebar and choose Settings.
    6. Click Advanced, then set “Release channel” to Nightly.
    7. Click About, then click Check for Updates.

1Password will then update to the nightly version. Let me know if you run into any issues.
