Suggestion: add the missing card brand logo

After creating a new credit card with the type UnionPay (also JCB, Maestro, and Laser), it will not show the card brand logo like VISA or MasterCard, but the default bank card icon.

I found a similar thread about this last May. This should be a simple problem, but it hadn't been fixed until July of this year.

fyi. The brand logo for UnionPay (.ai and .jpg format) can be found on their official website. Also, the Wikipedia page for UnionPay provides its logo in .svg format.

I can let the team know you'd like to see an additional icon. Thanks for sharing.

Please don't forget you don't have to wait on the team for a resolution. You can add a custom icon to your entry.

    1. Enter edit mode.
    2. Select the V symbol over the placeholder image and pick a new icon from your device.

Well, I tried to make a logo for UnionPay card branding myself yesterday, but no matter how I resize it, it's always a little narrower than the icons that come with 1Password (such as VISA and MasterCard), or it gets scaled down proportionally.

Later I also tried extracting the VISA and MasterCard icons that come with 1Password and making the UnionPay card logo against this one-to-one, but I still have this problem. Maybe it's a bug? (The icon size extracted from 1Password is 128x128 px, I also tried 256x256 px and 512x512 px.)

  • Gotcha. I've encountered that myself. I hope you don't mind I'm going to take the liberty of asking for some sort of resizing tool. Thanks for giving it a go. I'm sorry it was not fruitful.
