Why not NAPI-RS but Neon + TypeShare?

This question is just for my personal curiosity. I read Behind the scenes of 1Password for Linux and wonder why Neon has chosen for FFI-ing but not NAPI-RS. As described in NAPI-RS's document Comparison with neon NAPI-RS seems lighter and more compatible with N-API and since generating .d.ts file is supported NAPI-RS seems a better choice. Why Neon and development of TypeShare by own have chosen? I hope if I could learn from your decision.
