No more icon add/change in Browser ?

I have just created a new login and wanted to change the image/icon afterwards. Unfortunately, the current new browser version of 1Password (MacOS, Chrome) lacks the function for this ?

  • Hello @roe1974! 👋

Thank you for reaching out! Are you using 1Password.com in the browser on your Mac? If you are then I'd recommend installing the desktop app which will allow you to customize your icons:

Using the desktop app you can customize an item's icon by following these steps:

    1. Open and unlock the 1Password desktop app.
    2. Click on the item that you'd like to edit and then click Edit.
    3. Click on the down arrow under the item's icon and choose the image that you'd like to add.
    4. Save the item.

Let me know if that works. Our developers hope to add custom icon support to the new web app in the future. 🙂

    Hi Dave
I know the function in the desktop and mobile app ;-). I was just wondering why the function is suddenly no longer there in the browser :-). I thought it was just me :-P.
    Thanks for the info

1Password is rolling out a new web app which more closely resembles the design and user experience of the desktop and mobile apps. At the moment, support for custom icons isn't available in this new web app and I've let the team know that you'd like to see it be added.

Thank you for the feedback! 🙂
