I am setting up 1Password on a new (Android) phone. When flip the switch to enable Autofill, I am prompted to "Turn on in Settings. Turn on 1Passwqord Autofill in the system Settings app". So I press the button on the pop-up that says, "Open Settings" and when I get there 1Password is already listed as an Additional provider and it is enabled. But when I go back to the 1Password app, it still won't let me enable Autofill. It just prompts me to go to the settings again, and each time I go to the settings, 1Password is already listed and the switch is turned on.

I'm having the exact same issue. Can't select autofill it keeps unselecting itself.

After you select "autofill", you will be taken to "Passkey and Passwords" Click 1password (BLUE). Above that there is a section stating: PREFERRED SERVICES, CLICK that and select 1password.

OK, so I figured it out. After toggling the autofill switch it jumped me to my settings page which showed all my browsers etc. I believed it was asking me which browser did I want 1password to autofill. So I selected my default browser. Then it jumped back to the app and switch off autofill. After doing this 100 times I stopped and slowed down then noticed when it jumps to the setting page I could scroll down. I then found 1password as an option. I selected this and then it jumped back and autofill works.

Definitely user error but it was not clear that it was telling me I had to select 1password in the next settings page (it makes sense now).. Also 1password was not visible.

So I'm a happy customer now, busy cleaning up my 100s of passwords... Fun times

I'm happy that you were able to get things working.

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble enabling autofill for 1Password. Try the suggestion from Gmccoy4 (thanks for jumping in!) and let me know if you're still running into issues. Our guide on autofill can be found here.
