Firefox does not hand back control to 1Password

I am using 1Password on a freshly installed Debian Testing. I got 1Password through the provided deb package. Currently this is 1Password for Linux 8.10.36 (81036046).
I use Firefox from Mozilla's official repository. Currently this is 128.0.3 (64-Bit). This setup worked very well before.

I have an account that relies on Single Sign On. For this, 1Password will open a special link with which I will authenticate. Then, control needs to be handed back to 1Password. I assume, some token needs to be passed on. Until yesterday that worked great with Firefox, today (after re-installing Debian Testing) it worked with Chrome.

Since I reinstalled my system and restored my .mozilla folder from my backups, Firefox does not trigger 1Password anymore. While 1Password manages to open SSO tabs in Firefox, nothing happens afterwards. This prevents me from unlocking an important Vault. Even setting up the Vault required to make Chrome the default browser.

Are there any ideas how to fix this behaviour.

1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: 2.26.1
OS Version: Debian Testing
Browser: Firefox 128.0.3

A few days later the problem resolved on its own. Please note that I had the system running a few days already before opening this ticket.

    I am on 1Password 8.10.39 and Firefox 129.0 now.

I'm happy that you're no longer seeing the issue. 🙂
