No Touch ID & increased latency on Chrome extension since the update

I lost touch ID functionality on the chrome extension but touch ID on the Mac app still works. The chrome extension also takes significantly longer to unlock after I type my password. I've seen the loading screen too many times and for far longer than I have in the past. This started a few days ago and seems to coincide with the new update.



1Password Version: 8.10.39
Extension Version: 2.27.1
OS Version: macOS 13.5.2
Browser: Chrome

    I'm sorry that you're running into issues with unlocking 1Password in Chrome. It looks like 1Password in the browser is having trouble communicating with the desktop app. Try these steps:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

    If that still doesn't work then make sure that app integration is turned on for 1Password in the app: 1Password > Settings > Browser > Connect with 1Password in the browser.

    Thank you, @Dave_1P. They did get disconnected, and I was able to use the instructions in: https://support.1password.com/connect-1password-browser-app/#if-youre-using-macos-ventura-or-later to fix it.

    PS: There are a number of people reporting the same issue on the chrome extension review page.
