Community Registration has issue with Username checker

So I attempted to register here and entered a username and password. When I submitted my information it said my username was taken and the wanted me to pick a new username. I altered it and left the same strong password.

Now when I go into the Chrome Password Manager it shows two accounts for 1Password.community. One is my account but the other one is for someone else's account. I can't login because I don't have their password.

It automatically saved the login info in Chrome Password Manager. Might want to fix the registration page so it checks the username immediately and not after you submit the page to avoid this issue.

Hopefully this doesn't happen when using 1Password browser or app.

1Password should prompt you to save the credential either anew or updating the original. Assuming you have 1Password in the browser installed. If Chrome saved the password you may need to disable the browser password manager.

Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser

@ag_tommy thanks for this suggestion. No I actually don't have it installed in the browser yet. I put this in the Lounge because it seems to do more with the 1Password community registration than and chrome browser password manager than anything. Certainly I'm curious if it would also happen with other password managers on the community...

Appreciate the tip on disabling built in manager.
