Thanks on MS Authenticator
Just thanking you for clear instructions on setting up MS Authenticator. I have ordered two Yubikey 5C NFC to use with a windows Laptop and an iPhone. Second one is backup or for use on phone when away from home. I have Windows Hello fingerprint verification and iPhone Face I.D. Already set up. I am wondering how to best make use of and set up multi factor authentication given all the options I am describing. I was phished and hacked a month ago, so I am exploring added security. I quit and deleted LastPass, imported everything to 1Password

NFC not working on iPhone 11s. I set up a new Yubi5c NFC on my Windows laptop successfully. When I try to log into 1Password on Chrome by passing the Yubi over the top of the iPhone I get an error message that my credentials for 1Password are not found on the Yubi.

It seems I am creating a problem where there is actually a "feature" rather than a "bug." 2nd factor YubiKey device is not required when it is being used with a "trusted device." Unless I ask for re-checking with the 2nd factor, the trusted devices won't be invoked? Do I have this right?

When you created the Security Key and you were prompted to save it did you click the Yubikey icon near the top of the save prompt. Most folks seem to miss this.
Correct, the Yubikey would only be used when the initial linking or accessing the account occurs. It is not used on every access. Your account password is used to authenticate you after that initial linking.

AG_Tommy, thanks so much. You were right; I did not click the Yubikey icon. How can I test to see if it works correctly now, since I only have trusted devices, around me, at this point?

I need to take delivery on a second Yubi Key that I ordered to complete the process, but I can see that your suggestion worked. When I set up the first key, and passed it over the top of the iphone, it was recognized immediately. Thanks so much for your advice!

You're most welcome. Glad to help.
You can likely deauthorize one of your trusted device or require 2FA on next login. If you click the gear icon at the end of the trusted device you should be able to deauthorize it. When checking things such as this I encourage you to keep once device with access to you can disable the feature should you need it.
Turn on two-factor authentication for your 1Password account - manage devices
