Touch-ID not working on new Macbook

I have been a 1Password user for several years on a Macbook Pro, using the Touch-ID. Now on a new Macbook pro and it's not working. Also, when I am on a site requiring a password and user ID that IS in my vault, 1Password opens with the very first login ID in alpha-numeric order and not the site I'm on. Why is this happening? Using version 8.10.23. Thanks

    I'm sorry that Touch ID and filling aren't working properly on your new Macbook Pro. Version 8.10.23 is quite old at this point and, as a first step, I'd like you to update 1Password to the latest version (8.10.40 at the time of writing:

    After updating, please restart your Mac. If you still see both issues after restarting then let me know and I can help further.
