Android app showed black screen after filling password
Today I opened 1Password app on my Samsung S24 Ultra just to find out that it's not working.
After I did a fingerprint scan or entered my password manually the app just freezes showing the black screen and I couldn't even close it normally. It was working fine a few days ago though.
There were no updates available on the Play Store but the issue was fixed after I reinstalled the app and I can't reproduce it again. Before this I tried to clear the app cache, force stop the app and restart the phone but nothing helped.
It's very frustrating to have such a bug on the up-to-date popular Android phone in the stable app version especially because I had to quickly get my password at that moment in time.

I'm sorry that 1Password didn't open on your device. Our development team has fixed some issues that led the 1Password app to crash and we're testing those fixes in the latest beta version. Hopefully the fixes are included in the stable version soon.
A small subset of users were affected by these issues and, as you noted, reinstalling the app gets things working again. I apologize for the frustration and disruption to your workflow.
