Large grey X when trying to login to 1P on Safari
When I try to access the login page on Safari, I receive a large grey x and I cannot type any information in, however when I use a "Private Window" I don't have an issue. How can I fix this since I never use the private browsing window?
1Password Version: 7.9.11
Extension Version: 7.9.11
OS Version: macOS Sequoia 15.0
Browser: Safari

Hello, @Jthompz14. Thank you for writing in. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble.
First, I'd like to mention that 1Password 7 is no longer officially supported. 1Password 8 is the current version, it's in active development and receiving full support.
To help me better understand the situation, I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of the problem and attach it to your reply. Please do not share sensitive information in the screenshot on our public forum. -> Take a screenshot on your Mac

Here is a screenshot. I'm just trying to login on the www.1password.com website.

Thank you for posting those screenshots. If you see the issue when using a normal window but not when using a Private Window then a setting or extension that is enabled in the normal window might be causing the issue.
Are there any specific Safari browser extensions that you're using? If you turn off all extensions (except 1Password) and then reload the page, do you still see the grey x? You can find out how to manage your Safari extensions here:

Wow! That was it!! After turning the extension back on one by one, it was the "Coupon Cabin" extension that was causing it. I changed the permissions for that extension to deny access to read and alter the 1Password website and it now allows me to keep the extension turned on and still access the website. Thank you so much for your help! I spent so much time trying to google possible solutions to this issue and got absolutely nowhere. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me!!

I'm happy that you were able to solve the mystery, thanks for sharing what the cause of the grey X ended up being with the community. I'm sure that it'll help someone else in the future. 💙
