Auto-Fill for internal domains does not work

I have set up a couple of internal domains (for Synology NAS devices) and server certificates signed by my internal certificate authority. The corresponding 1Password items are not displayed but the 1Password browser extension for Safari on macOS ("No items to show"), but filling them with the keyboard does work.

On iPadOS, however, a warning is displayed: "Fill anyway? 1Password can't verify that eden.internal shouls have access to your [item name] ([user name]) login. – Allow Once/Always Allow/Cancel". Even when selecting "Always Allow", the same warning is displayed again the next time.

Is this related to the internal domains not being resolvable by 1Password via public DNS servers?

1Password Version: 8.10.40
Extension Version: 2.27.1
OS Version: macOS 14.6.1
Browser: Safari

Autofill Behavior is set to "Only fill on this exact domain", because I use many subdomains (*.eden.internal).

    • For Synology NAS systems, the login kind of works on macOS (no suggestions, though), but fails with a warning on iPadOS (s. above).
    • For regular/basic login forms, the relevant logins for the respective subdomain are displayed by the 1Password extension in Safari on macOS, but on iPadOS, any login for the base domain (eden.internal) is suggested (i.e. the Autofill Behavior set for the various logins is not taken into account).
