Touch ID No Longer Available In Safari Extension Sequoia 15.1 Beta 3

I'm having an issue in which the Safari Extension (8.10.44) will no longer connect with the desktop app 8.10.46 on Sequoia 15.1 Beta 3. Nothing appears to be any different other than installing Beta 3. Everything is running, but the extension is complaining that it cannot communicate with the desktop app. I have tried deselecting and selecting the option as well as clean installs of production, beta, and nightly versions. All give the same error.

1Password Version: 8.10.46
Extension Version: 8.10.44
OS Version: MacOS 15.1 Beta 3
Browser: Safari

  • Hi @tezgno,

We have identified the connection issue happening between the 1Password for Safari web extension and the 1Password for Mac desktop app. Currently, 1Password for Safari has to be unlocked separately from the desktop app due to the issue.

Our developers are looking into the issue so hopefully, a fix will be patched soon. Meanwhile, the connection should be working in other supported browsers, such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. I'm sorry about the inconvenience and confusion it caused.
