Bug: Sharing link to note that uses backticks for code formatting results in blank strings

If I have a secure note that uses backticks to format portions of text, it works to display correctly within the 1Password app.

However, if I then share that entry using the 1Password "Share by link" feature, when the recipient clicks it, the text in the backticks is not showing as if there is no text configured.

    Hello @tmchow! 👋

I'm sorry that your recipients don't see markdown formatting correctly when you share an item. I've just tested this and I can't reproduce the issue:

In the 1Password for Mac app:

    Share link via 1Password.com:

Our developers recently made improvement to markdown on 1Password.com and its possible that the issue that you saw was fixed as part of these improvements. Can you let me know if you can still reproduce the issue? If you can then can you post a screenshot of what you see?

@Dave_1P something changed VERY recently I think to fix this. It was doing this until nearly right after I posted my bug report. Can confirm it's fixed.

  • I'm happy that everything is working now, thanks for confirming. 🙂
