Safari won't load all login options

I have been using 1Password in Safari flawlessly for some time but recently (in the past 2-3 weeks, not exactly sure when this started) when I go to certain websites 1Password will only suggest autofill for a small subset of logins for that domain name.

For example I have a series of logins that are for "www.wellsfargo.com" and some that are for "wellsoffice.ceo.wellsfargo.com" - both end the TLD of "wellsfargo.com" so what it should be doing is presenting me with all of these logins. However in Safari only (works ok in Chrome) I only get the logins for the "www.wellsfargo.com" items and none of the "wellsoffice.ceo.wellsfargo.com" items.

I'm only using 1Password as my password manager (Apple's is off) and my 1Password extension in Safari is set to allow "all sites". Could this be some misconfiguration on my part where I changed something and didn't realize the broader impact? Or is this a bug (1Passwords or Apples)? Is it a known issue with work around?

Thanks

1Password Version: 8.10.40

  • Hello, @gmorin. Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry about the trouble you're encountering with 1Password.

I noticed that 1Password for Safari and the 1Password desktop app are behind on updates. Does updating them improve the behaviour?

As of this date, the latest version of 1Password for Safari is 8.10.44.34, and the 1Password desktop app is on version 8.10.44.

Huh. Odd. 1Password does not prompt me to update and claims it is the latest. I will try a manual update but right now I’m traveling so can’t try it out for awhile. Will circle back here if that does not resolve it. Thanks.

  • @gmorin, Thanks for your reply, you're welcome.

I'll be happy to take a closer look at why 1Password is not updating. We will be here when you're available.

    Safe travels!
