Access 1P via API

Is it possible to use 1P to store certain credentials and then have an API access those credentials?

The scenario is that I am writing integrations into various systems. My integrations need API Keys and secrets etc to operate. These will change from time to time and I don't want to store them in my applications. I want to store them in 1P and then access them when I need them. Is this possible?
