1Password browser extension fills out the wrong secret key when logging in to 1Password's webpage
This one's really odd. I needed to check pricing for my plan so I tried to log in to 1Password and used it to complete the login information, but the secret key that it put in was not the one I had in vault...
I checked the record but I'm not seeing the "see password history" option in any of the dropdowns for any of the fields...
I tried to log in with Safari on iOS (filled the email and password but not the secret key) and Safari and Firefox in Mac OS (both filled all fields and got the secret wrong in the same way)
Copying the secret key from the record and pasting it does work.
Would you have an idea as to why is it behaving this way?
1Password Version: 8.10.40
Extension Version: 8.10.44
OS Version: macOS 14.6.1
Browser: Safari (iOS and Mac) and Firefox

I'd start by checking the browser autofill. It might be from there unless you're certain 1Password filled it. I'd also ensure there are no errant entires in 1Password. Failing those two checks it might be best to have the technical team take a look. Please email us using

I'm sure it was 1Password the one who filled it and I can confirm I searched for other records that would auto-fill and found none.
Now, I renamed my 1Password record (added "this" at the end of the title) to make sure I was referencing the correct record, and now both Mac OS Safari and Firefox behave like iOS Safari: they fill the username and password but not the secret.
