2fa: Security key registration failed & now locked out of my account

Attempted to add a Yubikey 5c Nano but it never let me register the key correctly, seems it added it as a passkey because when I attempt to log back in it says to use a security key that was never registered correctly. Please remove the 2fa from my account, note that the email I used to register here is different from the one associated with my account so you'll need to get an admin to get in contact with me to get that information.

It would've been nice to also get a notification email or contact on the new Recovery codes feature that I knew nothing about and discovered after the fact of having to go through this pedantic process.

    Went to add a security key to my account and it never even gave me a chance to register it, says it added it as a passkey, now since the security key was never registered I can't login to my account. Please remove 2fa.

    We do not have access to account details here in the community. You'll need to email the support team for assistance. Please email us using support+forum@1password.com. Be sure to use the email address tied to the account in question.

    You can have a different email address in the community vs the one you use for your account. There is no issue there, unless you desire a unified email address. Emailing us is also the best approach for that too.
