Can you check if "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" is checked in Settings > General?
If it isn't, then 1Password will lock when you quit it, so I want to rule that out.
If it is, and it's still seemingly locking prematurely, send us an email at
support+forum@1password.com
and you'll receive an auto-reply from 🤖 BitBot. It will contain a conversation number, which looks like[#ABC-12345-123]

In short that setting is always set. I have sent email to the address. Will post again when I get a reply.
