"Received <BrowserVerificationFailed> from the native core" since Update 8.10.9 of the Desktop App
Original Bug-Report: https://1password.community/discussion/141142/received-from-the-native-core-since-most-recent-update#latest (was "Closed", for what ever reason, without any feedback given to me?!?)
To summarize in short ... the Issue still persists, and still keeps me from updating 1Password Windows Desktop to any Version higher than 8.10.8, unless accepting that 1Password in ChromePortable (or I guess any other portable Browser?) won't work with the Desktop App, but only standalone!?
1Password Version: 1Password for Windows 8.10.9 (81009012) or newer
Extension Version: 1Password in the browser 2.12.0 or newer
OS Version: Windows 10 22H2 19045.3155 or newer
Browser: Chrome Portable

Hello @Trminator! 👋
Thank you for following up. Older discussion are closed automatically by our system if there hasn't been any new activity for several months in order to keep the forum clean and discussions focused on the latest versions of 1Password.
The Chrome portable browser isn't a supported browser and so won't work with the app integration feature built-in to 1Password for Windows. The team hopes to bring the custom trusted browser feature to 1Password for Windows, it's already available for 1Password for Mac, but more testing would need to be done after the feature is complete to verify whether it would work with the portable version of Chrome.

I don't recommend using 8.10.8 anymore. This is an older version of 1Password for Windows that hasn't been updated in over a year and that is missing hundreds of bug fixes and important security patches. I recommend that you update as soon as possible:
After updating, the best paths forward would be to either use Chrome portable without app integration or to move to a different browser that is supported. Supported browsers include:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Brave
- Edge
I'm sorry that I don't have better news to share at the moment.

Well, you're mincing words, there, though... "isn't a supported browser"... Well, it's working just fine, using version 8.10.8 and older. It only STOPPED working when I tried updating to 8.10.9.prior to that, it worked just fine... So, to claim, now, that it's not supported, and I'm just asking for something impossible, is... Surprising, to me, since it's functionality I've been using since the app integration with the desktop app existed.
"I don't recommend using 8.10.8 anymore", well, yea, duh... But the bug introduced with 8.10.9 keeps me from using any newer...
So, basically, you're saying, I'm at fault, for functionality going missing, a year ago, that I have reported, a year ago, and that is still not fixed... Or that I am just using "the wrong browser", when that same browser works just fine, with the app integration present in 8.10.8?!?Best Regards,

An issue in previous versions of 1Password may have allowed you to use app integration with Chrome Portable but this issue has since been fixed. You may still be able to use 1Password in Chrome Portable but you'll need to unlock the browser extension using your account password.
The team knows that there are many browsers out there that folks would like to use with 1Password, even if they're not supported. But we want to make sure that adding additional browsers to 1Password is done in a safe and secure way since our top priority if the security and privacy of your data. Hopefully custom trusted browsers, the feature that was mentioned previously, is released in the future for 1Password for Windows.
