I'd also love to get a Librewolf support.
As of right now I am unable to sign-in to the extension in Librewolf at all, the page simply never loads.
    Any solution?

  • Thank you for the feedback @Nisshoku420. I've passed it along with the team. You mentioned:

As of right now I am unable to sign-in to the extension in Librewolf at all, the page simply never loads.

May I ask if you're referring to the 1Password.com sign-in page? What steps are you taking when signing in to the extension?

@EvonG1P Yes that is exactly what I am referring to.
I installed the extension, I have my desktop app running and unlocked.
I launch the extension in browser, it connects with the desktop app and asks me to sign-in.
I click sign-in and the page never loads.

And if I disable integration with the desktop app the "Sign-in" button is greyed-out and cannot be clicked. It just says connecting to desktop app infinitely.

Also thank you for such a quick response, I appreciate it!

  • You're very welcome, @Nisshoku420. 🙂

I appreciate the additional details! The feature request I previously submitted is for app integration support between the 1Password desktop app and 1Password in the browser for Librewolf. However, you should be able to sign in to the 1Password extension without the desktop app.

If you navigated directly to https://start.1password.com/signin?l=en, can you sign in to your account? If so, a small "Add account to 1Password" pop-up should appear on the top right; click "Add" to add your account to the extension. Here's a screenshot for reference:

Let me know how that goes.

@EvonG1P So it turns out that I can not open 1password.com at all in neither Firefox nor Librewolf. I tried this on 2 different PCs with 2 different ISPs just to be sure.
I have been using HTTPS only mode and DNS over HTTPS (Quad9) for last couple weeks and I don't think that I went to 1password.com even once since then.
But I did not have any issues with any other site so far and I have been using Quad9 DNS before also without problems.
I can open 1password.com just fine in Safari on my iPhone via my home wifi (I have Quad9 DNS set-up directly on router in my home network).

EDIT: Just tried disabling HTTPS only and DNS over HTTPS and it did not help.
The rest of the settings are default Librewolf settings.
My Firefox is customized (hardened) tho, so who knows what might be wrong... But once again, zero issues with other websites so far.
So maybe something on 1password.com recently broke the website for Gecko engine?
Not my area of expertise tbh so I'm just guessing.

    Any ideas?

    @Nisshoku420,

May I ask if you use the Dark Reader extension? If so, does turning off dark mode on 1Password.com improve the behaviour?

Our development team is aware of an issue where that extension interferes with 1Password.com, and we are working on resolving this.

I look forward to your reply.

@EvonG1P Yop, that was the issue.

    You sir are absolutely GOATED.
Seriously is there some feedback survey or something where I can give you 5 out of 5 stars?
    TOP notch communication fr.

    Thank you once again.

  • You're very welcome, @Nisshoku420. I'm happy to help. 🙂

We don't have a survey through the forums. However, I appreciate the kind words! Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

    Hi @EvonG1P ,

unfortunately I'm seeing a similar issue as @Nisshoku420 with the latest version of LibreWolf (128.0.3-1) and the 1Password extension (2.26.1).
Similarly to the previously reported issue, I cannot add an account to the extension - I'm presented with the same plugin page prompting me to add an account, which redirects to the appropriate 1Password sign-in page. On the contrary to the previous poster, I can log in successfully and access my vault, however I don't seem to be logged in through the extension (clicking it again prompts me to add an account) and don't get any popup to add the account to the extension...
I've tried disabling all extensions I've had in LibreWolf (which is just uBlock Origin and Darkreader), however that didn't change anything.
I'm using the EU version of 1Password and tried opening the link you suggested (and it's .eu variant) directly as well - without success, unfortunately.

Interestingly enough, I was using an older version of LibreWolf (123.0-1) a while ago and managed to log in successfully there. Since the account was still added, I was able to enter my password and log back in, even after an update to the latest LibreWolf version - however a completely fresh install on a different PC didn't allow me to add an account, even with 123.0-1...

Any idea, what else might be causing this issue?
Thanks for you and your team's continued effort for a derivate browser that's probably making your life quite a bit harder in this regard - greatly appreciated!
