Chrome Extension Settings Have Different Options Between 2 Different Accounts

I am logged into 2 different Google accounts on my mac using Chrome 128.0.6613.120.

I have the 1Password extension (8.10.44.34) installed and configured on both of these account profiles.

They are both integrated with the 1Password desktop app via the extension settings (under the 'General' option).

I am seeing a discrepancy between what configuration options are available to the two different profiles. I expected both extensions to have the same configurable/customization options available, but they are different. Currently, the differences show up in the 'Autofill & save' section...but I saw some difference before in the 'Security' section .... but i was unable to reproduce this discrepancy after exiting Chrome and restarting it.

I am including the following screenshots to show the specific discrepancies to the 'Autofill & save' settings.

Thank you.

  • Hello @snoringelephant! 👋

I'm sorry that you're not seeing the same options in two different Chrome profiles for two different accounts. Can you remove and then reinstall the 1Password extension in the profile where you're missing options:

    1. How to remove 1Password from your browser
    2. Download 1Password for your browser

Then let me know if you see the same issue. If you do then can you tell me what type of accounts you're using? Are these both individual accounts? Or is one of them a work account?

Thanks for your reply, @Dave_1P .

I don't know what to tell you...I opened the Chrome browser again for both accounts and now the 'Autofill & save' options are now the same. I didn't remove/re-add the extensions or anything.

Maybe it was some type of cache thing or something ... not sure, but it is no longer an issue and I cannot reproduce it.

btw, they are both personal, individual accounts and not work or managed by a third party.

I don't expect there is anything you can do at this point given it is not reproducible...but thanks for your consideration and comments.

  • The team will keep an eye out for this behaviour, I'm glad that everything is working again for you.
