iCloud login autofill not working
I ran into this issue after switching from Safari (using Apple keychain) to Firefox (using 1Password). And, after a very long journey, I found the answer in this subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/1Password/comments/1bztjgt/anyone_else_have_issues_signing_into_icloudcom/
Disabling autofill does not work. Typing the AppleID manually into the login field works, though. And from there autofill of the password with 1P works fine again.
I also tried it in a Firefox private window (with just the 1P extension enabled). Autofill does not work. Filling in the AppleID field manually works.
In the mentioned subreddit the sub moderator made us believe this issue would be addressed in a next beta. Note that this issue existst for quite some time now.
Okay, I now know how to circumvent this issue, but - realising it may be an Apple issue as well - I would expect 1P to have a solution of its own by now to make autofill working again for this site. By the way, the issue exist for apple.com (i.e. the Apple store) and appleid.apple.com as well.

Hello, @Fresco. Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry about the issue you're running into with 1Password.
I've tested both of Apple's sign-in pages using Firefox but haven't been able to recreate the same behaviour. I am running the stable version of 1Password in the browser (8.10.44.34) and noticed your version is behind on an update (Extension Version: 8.10.44.21).
Are you using the stable or beta version of the 1Password extension? If you're using the stable version, do you experience the same behaviour after updating the 1Password extension?

I use the beta version, which is currently on version 8.10.46.11 (Sept. 17th). And the issue is still present. Also in a Firefox private window without extensions. By the way, I have the same issue with Chrome/Chromium.

Thank you for your reply. Does the same problem occur using the stable release of the 1Password extension? While using stable, ensure the beta version is toggled off: Stop using 1Password beta.
Are you also running the beta version of 1Password in the browser in Chrome?

I use the beta's everywhere (desktop + browser extensions).
I installed the stable versions (8.10.44.34) (I don't see a beta toggle in the beta extensions). These versions are without the issue.
Stiil strange, though. The previous stable version has the issue (at least, that's what I understand from your first comment), the latest beta has it, but the current stable version doesn't have it?
And now, what must I do? Keep using the stable version extensions, and start using the stable desktop version as well?0 -
I apologize for the confusion. The "Stop using 1Password beta" link I shared was referring to the 1Password browser extension and not the 1Password desktop app.
The beta versions are used to test new features before those features are promoted into the stable release. Therefore, you might see more bugs and filling issues when using the beta. Our development team is aware of the problem with Apple's sign-in pages. We've been able to reproduce it on our end, and hope to release a fix in a future update to the beta version.
In the meantime, I suggest using the stable version of the 1Password extension to avoid this problem.
I hope that helps.
