Automatically expire other shares so there is only ever one per entry
Is there any way to automatically expire a previous share so there is only ever one active share for any given entry?
If this isn't possible, to counteract this we could do with a way to list all the shares and their statuses, and optionally be able to remove or expire them fro this list. Many thanks!

Hi ag_tommy,
Thank you for your response.
I'd like to auto expire old shared links so there is only ever one to avoid confusion.
If there isn't a way to do this it would be great if I could see a list of all of the current shares so I could administer the shares produced by the team.
Regards

The closest thing I can think of that might get you close on half of the request is in App usage policies set one of the times to something that will expire the links quicker. (Default expiration time or Maximum link lifespan).
I'm not aware of any setting that would force a new link or update the version as you've described. The reason for this is the item at the time of the link creation is a copy as it is at that given time. A new item would get a new link because it, too, is an item as is at that specific time. What I can do is suggest this as a feature request to the team for possible consideration in the future. I just can't speak to the technical feasibility/possibility.
If you need or want live updating items, then a guest account might be the best approach to ensure the item is a living entity and always current.
It is an interesting idea and one I'd be more than happy to convey to the team. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks ag_tommy, thanks for the feedback, just to give you a bit more background on this, we sent a link to a client and they used it. We then needed to change some details and obviously the link changed. Despite sending the new link the client used the old one as the member of the team that was helping out didn't expire the previous one so it all looked valid, even though it wasn't the most up to date detail.
Members of the team would have to check manually to see if a share had been done for any given entity and manage this from there. Most just create a new share and send it on. It maybe mistakes or just different ways of working but it would be great if it could look after itself rather than it being something I'm concious to keep on top of.
I guess I could look at getting the team to give them a one time view as an option thinking about it!
Thanks for your thoughts dropping across to the feature team, we will see then.
many thanks
Rich
