Are there any plans to incorporate a PDF viewer in 1Password when using the desktop version?

This is 2024 and it makes no sense that a pdf file must first be downloaded before it can be viewed.

  • Hello @Timmer! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for reaching out. All of your information in 1Password is end-to-end encrypted and 1Password must download a file and then decrypt it somewhere on your device before it can be opened.

That being said, on the Mac you can open this file in a preview window from a temporary folder that 1Password creates in the background and I've let the team know that you'd like to see similar functionality be introduced in 1Password for Windows as well.

    Thank you for the feedback!

Interesting proposal. Especially since, in my opinion, the PDF format is the most commonly used.

  • Thank you for your input, garrytom. ๐Ÿ™‚

By the way, I was recommended a great online editor for working with PDF files, which works on many operating systems, including Mac, Linux, and Android. I usually use it to convert https://pdfguru.com/eps-to-jpg EPS to JPG and SVG to JPG, as itโ€™s very convenient for that purpose. But it also has many other features, especially useful for editing PDF files. It might be helpful for someone.
