1Password has become excessively slow in all regards.

I am using the latest version of everything. 1Password used to be speedy but has become really slow. I am considering using the new Password app from Apple. Can you tell me what is potentially the problem with 1Password so I do not have to do that?

    Hello @JoelZumoff! 👋

    I'm sorry that 1Password isn't as fast as it used to be on your Mac. Can you tell me a little more about what where you're seeing the slowness? Is it when opening the desktop app and editing an item? Or filling a login using 1Password in the browser? Or some other place?

    Can you also tell me which version of 1Password and macOS you're currently running?

    1Password was very slow with everything it tried to do. However, there is a more significant problem now. I just updated to Sequoia, OS 15.0, and can't even log into the 1Password software. When I try to input the password it appears that each press of a key enters the character twice, so the password does not match. Does 1Password not work at all in Sequoia?

    Are you using an Apple Magic Keyboard by any chance. I had one of these that started doing this and it was faulty - a replacement fixed the issue for me.

    Thanks for the reply. 1Password works great with macOS Sequoia and I haven't seen any reports of issues with typing from other customers. Are you using an Apple Magic Keyboard like @davegarratt suggested? Are you seeing the same behaviour with other apps? What happens if you restart your Mac?

    Are both the 1Password desktop app and the browser extension slow?

    I am using an Apple magic keyboard. 1Password appears to be working OK now. Perhaps it was a fluke with the keyboard. Thanks for your help.
