feature request: view entry attachments within 1password

I like the ability to attach files to individual entries to keep them secure, but as far as I can tell, the only way to view them is to download them - which kind of defeats the purpose of keeping them in a vault. I would love to see a way for 1password to have a native in-app viewer for at least image files and common file formats such as PDFs. Thanks.

You're correct if you're using Windows. The file must be downloaded first. On macOS, you can preview the file. I'm not sure if this is an OS-type of limitation. I suspect so. I'd happily let the team know you'd like to see this ability while using 1Password for Windows. I can't speak to when/if it will be possible. I'll leave that in the hands of the development team.

Correct, this is 1password for Windows.
On an Android phone, there is a "Preview" option, but this seems to simply open a list of other apps you can use to open the document. It's not clear to me if the document is downloaded somewhere when this happens.
    Thank you.

  • There isn't currently a way to directly save the file to your device, but you should be prompted to choose an app to open the file with (which might then give you the option to save, depending on the app)
