Unable to generate recovery codes for single family member
Hello, I've stuck on pretty corner case.
My company pays for our 1password account and provides free family pack. So I decided to create single personal account and move all of my personal passwords there.
On my working 1password account I’ve created Free personal account from the UI directly. During password creation I've used suggestion by 1password.
Then I started to move my personal passwords to my new personal account and eventually I moved the newly created password for the same account.
Now, when I’m trying to login ofc I cannot enter this strong long password ..
1password suggests to create recovery codes as per Recover accounts for family or team members | 1Password , but since I’m the only one in the Family, it has a conflict with the usage, e.g.
Make sure at least two family or team members can recover accounts. That way, if you can’t sign in or recover your account, someone will be able to help you. Learn how to add a family organizer or implement a recovery plan for your team.
Is there is a way to recover or I'm screwed?
Thank you.

Account recovery would require a Family organizer to assist you. A recovery code is self-service. Account recovery and recovery codes are two different aspects both allowing you to regain access to your account. If you're the only one on the account then account recovery (assisted) would not be possible. A self-recovery (Recovery Code) could be possible.
eventually I moved the newly created password for the same account.
Look in the recently deleted section of the work account. A move between accounts is actually a copy-and-delete event due to the differing encryption between the two accounts. You may very well find your password there.
Make sure to record the password on the Emergency Kit. It has a place to write it in. Also, please ensure you generate and save that Recovery Code. Make sure both are accessible outside of 1Password for emergency situations.

.Somehow I didn't think to check this section. Thank you veeery much !
For the second option with recovery code .. from the Page you provided it seems I still have to be able to login first in order to generate Recovery codes for the future use (in case you forgot your password).

No worries; it get's folks all the time. I've had it even get me once or twice. ;)
Yes, generating the recovery code requires knowing the account password. You much first access the account (1Password.com or though one of the apps) before it can be created.
