Unable to fill password fields during account sign-up
In the process of creating new website accounts via the 1Password browser extension, i got the following pop-up message: "Try to block and then unblock 1Password to fill the new field". I followed what the message told me but i got stuck in an endless cycle: as soon as I unblocked 1Password and tried to fill the password field with a new generated password, the same pop-up message reappeared.
The aforementioned problem occurs when In "Extensions > Manage extensions > Allow site access" I set the "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" to either "On click" or "On specific sites". So I'm constrained to set it to "On all sites" for the extension to properly function.
1Password Version: 8.10.44 (81044034)
Extension Version: 8.10.46.26
OS Version: MacOS 14.7
Browser: Brave v1.70.117

Hello, @IAmNotARobot. Thank you for reaching out.
I've tested this on my end but haven't been able to recreate the same pop-up message. Instead, I got the following:
May I ask what steps did you take when the pop-up appeared? Can you clarify what you mean by unblocking 1Password?

First of all, thank you so much for your reply. I will try to better explain my issue.
During the process of creating a website account, upon filling the first required password field using the password generator, I get the message depicted in the attached screenshot. No matter how many times I block and then unblock 1Password, the message reappears and I'm stuck in this endless cycle, unable to fill the password field. I get the same result even by copying and pasting the generated password in the field.
As for the step depicted in your screenshot, I usually have no problem with it. I reload and if necessary, proceed with unblocking 1Password. All of the above happens after that.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the additional information. The message from the screenshot is likely unrelated to the site access permission settings.
Are you still experiencing this issue? Do you recall restarting your web browser and the 1Password desktop app while troubleshooting the problem?

@EvonG1P,
even restarting both the browser and the 1Password desktop app I got the same result. I only succeeded in troubleshooting the problem by setting "right click on 1Password extension icon > Manage extensions > Allow site access" to "On all sites". By setting it on "On click" or "On specific sites" I got the same message from the screenshot attached in the previous post and thus didn't allow me to create any new account on the Web using the password generator.0 -
