1Password not available for AutoFill when hidden on iOS 18
I'm not sure if this is an iOS beta issue or a 1P issue. On my iPhone 13, I was able to hide 1Password (running the beta) and use it in Safari. I got an iPhone 18, installed the beta and it no longer works when hidden. If I go to the Autofill & Passwords iOS setting, I can select 1Password if the app isn't hidden. Once I hide it, it no longer appears there. While this may be expected behavior, I'm thinking it's not since it did work as a hidden app on my old phone (though it was one iOS beta release older). Should I hang tight for the full 18.1 or new 1P release?

Hello @dangreen! 👋
Thanks for reaching out! Since the same behaviour occurs with other password manager apps (I tested a few) this seems like something that Apple has deliberately built into iOS 18. I can't speak for Apple but it seems to make sense that if you choose to hide an app then Apple will prevent that app from showing suggestions when filling and saving logins in Safari and other apps.
I recommend reaching out to Apple with your feedback that you would like to see this changed in future versions of iOS 18. You can find their support team here: Official Apple Support

Ok, thanks. Now I'm wondering if I was hallucinating that it worked on my old phone with the new beta.

I wasn't a beta tester of iOS 18 myself but it's possible that there was a bug in an earlier beta that was resolved in later versions of iOS 18. I would recommend reaching out to Apple for additional clarity about the hide an app feature on iOS 18 since they'll be in the best position to answer questions about the feature. 🙂
