So if I croak ?
So here's what I want, I love 1PW and use it hundreds of times a week. I want a simple sytem to organize all my monthly/weekly/yearly/subscription accounts, with a simple account/name/passw/contact/etc so that if I croak, my other half can EASILY stop all those charges, I bet you dont realize how may weekly, monthly, yearly charges you have. It is a nightmare to try to figure this out. Think about it, your streaming charges, utilities, yearly S/W sub charges and so on. It would be HUGE to be able to say "Show me the list of what needs to be cancelled and here are the phone #s and account data". or simply , show "update all subs to new address" . Suggest you add a "billing charge method and rate" to a new account being recorded. this would be huge. Bottom line, add a "subscription" tag, but figure it out at creation time.

Now sort on that tag and present them as a list. It's not just if I croak, it's when I move, when I change banks etc. Call it the "Subscription Manager" part of the app ? Even better, why not rotor through the list and prompt the user "Call this #" or "Email xyx@nnn.com" to change under a "Subscription Manager" prompt ? Better yet, let a GPT bot do it for you ?

Completely concur with this enhanced feature (set) request. Note to Product Mgmt, this will increase your recurring revenue rate because it increases the “family” hassle to exit your service.
Suggested changes to data model and user experience:
Subscription Y/N - if yes, allow user to enter expiration date, expected cost, and payment type.
Payment Type - allow user to select credit card or debit card from existing saved cards or bank ACH.
Report or Query use cases:
- if I croak report - prints/lists open subscriptions include account ID. WOULD LIKE - sort by renewal date.
- Credit card lost or stolen - Card gets reissued and user needs to see all the places where that card is used for automatic payment.
Watchtower Use Case
- Multiple family members pay separately. If Netflix, New York Times, or AAA roadside assistance offer family use for one fee, they are unlikely to tell you. 1Password can see and alert family vault members, or the admin, to consider saving on fees.0 -
Like most of you, I too use my password manager as my subscriptions and plans dashboard/noteboard.
I too concur with some of those feature requests, but most are stepping way above 1P's actual purpose. Let's leave 1P focus on what we need most right now, a premium personal identity/credential/auths manager. Not a personal accounting subs/service/accounts and finance manager.0 -
I typically use tags for much of the same purposes. I have them named "pay - xxxx" where a specific card is used to pay for a service. "pay - ach" is another. You can use "subscription - active", "subscription - paused", or "subscription - canceled".
I created an entirely separate vault for my heirs to focus on when the time comes. In it is a listing of the items I would recommend checking on.
Thank you for the wonderful suggestions. I now have a few others to add to my collection. The one I use the most is "phone - xxxx" used to identify a service that uses the phone number for things like SMS or TOTP SMS. Thanks again.
