Is there any way to turn off updating of Username?

My parent was set up with 1Password to manage her passwords. Sometime in the last two weeks they managed to get the usernames overwritten in 1Password for a number of accounts. I can only image this happened due to the "Update" dialog box that is presented to users when a Username or Password field is detected as changed. Since no Username history appears to be provided (like there is for passwords), I will have to go through the process of dealing with each company to get their Username recovered or changed. It would be really nice (since Usernames are not usually changed) to NOT have username in 1Password updated without a more stringent check (are you Really Sure?) or a recovery method like with Password History to not lose the real username if an entry is accidently made into that field on a website.

  • Hello, @deadeyeDave. Thank you for writing in. I'm sorry about the problem you encountered with 1Password.

First, I'd like to mention that you can restore a previous version of an item using the 1Password desktop app. Here's more information on this: View and restore previous versions of items.

There isn't a way to turn off Autosave specifically for a Username. May I ask what steps are they taking when using 1Password to autofill? Does this problem occur on all websites or specific ones?
