Chrome extension resetting autofill settings to "full annoyance" mode - every day it seems :-/

Hello folks, grumpy post incoming...

By default, the 1Password extension is a huge irritation; adding popups to almost every input field to "Save login", "Generate password", etc.

I hate this - I don't want any of this - if I log in to a new site the 1Password Chrome extension pops up in the top-right of the browser window prompting me to save a new login. That's the only time I want 1Password to interrupt my browsing.

When I go to a login form, I know I can press Cmd+Shift+X to fill in the username and password.

I NEVER want it to automatically log me in, because 9 times out of 10 the login form has a Captcha tickbox below the username and password which I then tab to and tick.

So, in the Chrome 1Password extension settings, under "Autofill & save", the only thing I want ticked it "Offer to fill and save passwords". And ideally these two options would be separate - I would prefer just to be able to tick "Offer to save passwords" and leave the rest to me to do manually.

For the last week or two, the 1Password Chrome extension has been resetting these autofill & save tickboxes so they're all on, resulting in every form textfield, email field and password field having an annoying box appear below it offering to save a login, or create a password.

I don't want this! It's hugely distracting and gets in the way of browsing. It also adds extra tab stops to the form, making it additionally frustrating to tab through the form.

Please, 1Password dev team, can you find a way to stop settings from being reversed - whether it's when the extension is being updated, some weird Chrome settings synchronisation, or whatever else is going on. I want to set these settings once and never have to come back to reset them.

Please fix this. It's a huge pain in the bum :)

Thank you,

Alex
