Apple Watch unlock doesn't work on macOS 15 Sequoia

I've been using 1Password on my Mac Studio with my Apple Watch to unlock 1Password.

Since updating to macOS 15.0, unlock with Apple Watch doesn't work anymore: for a short time, the Apple Watch unlock message pops up, but it is immediately dismissed and I have to enter my 1Password password. There is no message on my Apple Watch.

Is this a known problem?

1Password Version: 8.10.46
Extension Version: 8.10.46.34
OS Version: macOS 15.0 (24A335)
Browser: Safari

    Hello @Lextar! 👋

    I’m sorry that you’re unable to unlock 1Password using your Apple Watch. I've just tested and I'm able to unlock 1Password using my Apple Watch on macOS 15 without issue.

    Is it possible that you're using the sleep focus mode? If you are then can you turn off the focus mode and then try to unlock 1Password using your Apple Watch again: Turn a Focus on or off on Mac - Apple Support (CA)

    If you're not using a focus mode then let me know.

    Thanks for the quick reply. No, I don't have a focus mode enabled.

    When I launch 1Password, the Apple Watch unlock alert shows for a second or so, then it disappears. (I'm not pressing any keys.)

    I could get it to work:

    I noticed that unlocking the Mac with my Apple Watch didn't work either, so it wasn't just 1Password.

    I tried disabling Apple Watch unlock in System Settings, rebooting and enabling it again. This didn't help.

    Then I tried restarting the iPhone and Apple Watch. That didn't help at first.

    Then I disabled Apple Watch unlock in System Settings again and enabled it.

    Now I could use the Apple Watch to unlock my Mac!

    Then I tried it in 1Password and it started to work there, too!

    So, success, I guess. Not sure which step made it work in the end. I hope it keeps working.
