Keeping Track of Logins/Websites Where Hardware Key/Passkey is Used

Is there any mechanism in 1Password for noting that I added a 2FA hardware key to that site (Yubikey and the like), aside from writing it in as an entry by hand?

This might be a great use of tags. Create a "Hardware" tag and you can easily apply it to records.

  • Hello @conspiracyx! 👋

Thanks for the question! I agree with @RadioRob, tags are perfect for this use case: Organize with favorites and tags

For example, I've tagged logins where I'm using my Yubikey with the names of my YubiKeys:

Hey that's great, I might do that. I was hoping for something more automatic considering that the browser knows when I add a key.

Currently, 1Password doesn't automatically keep track of when you use a hardware security key with a website. I've filed a feature request on your behalf to have the product team look into adding such a feature in the future. For the time being, using tags is the best option.

Thank you for the feedback! 🙂

TY the feature request is appreciated.
For context, the personal reason for this inquiry is this: I bought a yubikey years ago and added it accounts on many sites. Then I had a misunderstanding with how the PIN on the key works and decided to de-authorize the key from everywhere it was added, but as you could imagine I did not keep track of that.

Thank you for the context. I've added that to the feature request as well. 🙂
