Focus is stolen by 1Password for Mac 8.10.48 (81048017)

1Password for Mac 8.10.48 (81048017) is stealing focus. This started today Monday, October 7, 2024. It is so disruptive that I have had to quit 1Password. If I do not, I am interrupted every few seconds. I could not even type one sentence in the time 1Password would steal focus away.

UPDATE - 1Password is auto restarting as well. I am using Activity Monitor to kill the processes. This is a very disruptive bug.

1Password Version: 8.10.48
Extension Version: 8.10.48.17
OS Version: 15.0.1
Browser: Arc

    Hello @freyman! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password is stealing focus. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Does this only happen when you're using Arc? Or does it happen even if all of your browsers are closed?
    2. Are you using the SSH Agent or CLI feature?
    3. When 1Password steals focus, does the main window of the desktop app appear on your screen?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Aloha Dave,

I was contacted by a 1Password support representative. I have tried the following and thus far have had a positive experienced.

    1. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings.
    2. On the General tab, turn off Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app.
    3. On the Accounts & Vaults tab, sign out of your 1Password account from the ⋮ three-dot menu.
    4. Sign back into your 1Password account.
    5. Go back to the General tab, and turn on Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app.
    6. Repeat this for every browser (and browser profile) where you have installed the 1Password browser extension.
