I too have this issue. I've followed the instructions in the article. I've even gone to Privacy settings for access to passkeys and Safari isn't even listed. I'm seeing the same behavior in Chrome & Firefox, but Chrome works the second time after I cancel. It does seem like macOS 15 is much more intrusive in intercepting passkeys. I have a bunch of screenshots if it helps. Latest versions of apps, 1password, OS, etc.

  • Hello @notmax! 👋

I'm sorry that you're seeing a passkey prompt from macOS. Can you try the following:

    1. Make sure that 1Password is installed in all of your browsers: Download the Best Password Manager for Your Browser
    2. Turn off the built-in password/passkey manager using the step below.

How to turn off the built-in password manager in macOS:

    1. Click on the Apple icon  in the menu bar.
    2. Click System Settings.
    3. Click General, and then AutoFill & Passwords.
    4. Turn off "AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys".

Let me know if that doesn't work.
