1Password browser extension clicks the wrong button on classmates.com

Hello! I tried to use the 1Password extension to sign into https://secure.classmates.com/auth/login today. The 1Password extension filled in the email field and automatically clicked the "Send magic link" button instead of the "sign in using password" button. I was able to log in by going back in my browser and clicking the "sign in using password" button manually, at which point the 1Password extension correctly filled in the password. I don't know if it's possible to update the logic to look for buttons that lead to the password prompt or if this site needs individual attention, but I thought I'd call your attention to it. Thank you!

  • Hello @tfofurn! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password selected the wrong button when signing you into classmates.com. I've been able to reproduce the same issue on my end and I've filed an internal work item to have our development team get this fixed.

For the time being, you can turn off autosubmit for that particular website:

    1. In your browser, click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
    2. Find and click on the correct login item.
    3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the item's details and then click "Don't sign in automatically".

Thanks for reporting the issue. 🙂

Ooh . . . I'm glad to learn about the "Don't sign in automatically" feature. Thank you!
