Prevent 1Password from offering to save on every login with TOTP

Hi there,

I have to login to a site where there are three login fields. Username, Passwords (which is a static PIN + TOTP Code) and a second password field which is also static. So basically 1Passwords fills for me the username, static PIN and second password.

I then enter the generated TOTP code directly after the static PIN. When I then login, 1Password is offering to save a new item or update the existing one.
Every. Single. Time. :)

Is there a way to stop it from doing that? I think there was an option back in the but I can't find it

1Password Version: 1Password for Windows 8.10.50 (81050008)
Extension Version: 8.10.50.8
OS Version: Windows 10
Browser: Chrome

  • Hello @Manaburner! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. Websites where a static password is concatenated with the one-time password (OTP) into the same field is something that isn't supported at the moment but I can certainly file a feature request so that the team is aware of your need for such a feature.

Are you able to share the website address of the website in question so that I can include that with the feature request? If you don't want to post it to the public forum then you can send it to support+forum@1Password.com along with a link to this thread. 🙂

    Hi @Dave_1P
thank you. Unfortunately I can't share the website :(

I completely understand. I've filed a feature request letting the team know that, in general, you'd like to see better support for websites where the password and the one-time password are entered into the same field. Thank you for the feedback!
