Permanently destroyed items still show as suggestions

I am cleaning up duplicate entries and have found unusual behavior. As an example, I had 5 entries for Target. I deleted 4 of them, then performed a "Destroy Permanently" operation on them so they are no longer in the Recently Deleted folder. Nonetheless, afterwards when I search for "target" I see the 4 deleted entries in Other Suggestions.

Why is this? I would not expect to see them after they were permanently destroyed.

  • Hello @ScottF100! 👋

I'm sorry that you're still seeing suggestions for items after you've permanently deleted them. I've tried to reproduce the issue but I'm not seeing the same behaviour on my end. So that I can better understand the issue can you tell me the following:

    1. Can you view one of the deleted items if you click on the item from the "Other Suggestions" results?
    2. Do you see the deleted items either in the normal item list or in "Recently Deleted" when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)?
    3. If you create a new item called "1PasswordSupportTest" and then permanently delete it, do you see the same issue with that item? Or does the issue only occur with the Target-related items?
