Prevent Passwords from Quick Access in Clipboard Manager

Hello,
if I use the Quick Access to copy passwords into my clipboard manager (Clipy), they show up in the list, despite the 1Password app is excluded in Clipy. If I copy a password from the app, they don't show up.

Can you please fix this, that passwords copied from Quick Access also do not show up in clipboard managers.

This is very likely a 1Password issue since I also use Keeper and there the exclusion works for both, the app and it's quick access overlay.

  • Hello @uckethwi! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. If you've excluded the 1Password app in your clipboard manager app and you still see entries in the clipboard manager then I recommend reaching out to the developer of the clipboard manager so that they can investigate this further and get it resolved.

When you copy a password from 1Password it gets placed into the macOS system clipboard and from there we don't have any other control over whether other apps (such as clipboard managers) look at the clipboard and save what's there.

Let me know if you have any questions.
