Pop ups not triggering 1Password

I am using VueScan software. When I first register it or after reintalling it, a popup box appears with 3 fields, email address, Software serial number and customer number. This pop up box doesn't trigger 1Password to fill in or save the details. The same thing happens with my Netgear router when I log in. Is there a way to force 1Password to recognize the pop up box and fill in the details?

  • Hello @DanH25! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when filling login credentials into certain apps. I see that you posted in the iOS category but you mentioned that you were using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, can you clarify on which device you're seeing the issue?

If the issue is on your iPhone or iPad then make sure that you've turned on Password AutoFill: Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your iPhone and iPad

Sorry for the confusion, I am using Windows 11 with Edge.

  • @DanH25,

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the additional details. The 1Password browser extension cannot suggest your Login items for software installed on your Windows computer. I recommend opening Quick Access from the 1Password desktop app to copy and paste the details into the fields for the VueScan software.

As for the Netgear router, is this a program installed on your computer or logging into your router via Edge?

Netgear uses 192.168.1.1 for their html log in page. I can use Edge or Chrome to open it.

  • @DanH25,

Thank you for your reply. Since I cannot access the same page, I request you send me some information to support+forum@1Password.com. With your email, please include the following:

    1. Navigate to the page exhibiting the behaviour.
    2. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select Help > Collect Page Structure.
    3. 1Password will save a .json file to your "Downloads" folder.
    4. Attach the file to your email.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here, and I will be able to locate your message and ensure it has reached the right place. Thank you!
