2FA on Multiple Platforms

My daily driver is Kubuntu, see versions below. I'm the "sysadmin", and I and other family members also use Windows 11 23H2, MacOS Sonoma 14.5 and IpadOS/IOS 18.0.1. We all store usernames and passwords in the Our Family vault (we all have the 1password master password). We mostly use the 1password Chrome extension, but the 1password app is also installed on all our platforms.

I/we have 2FA enabled, and I use Apple FaceID as the second factor on the IpadOS/IOS platforms, which works fine. There are no cameras on the desktop devices, so I want to use Google Authenticator, which is available for all the desktop platforms, as the second factor on those devices. I'm having problems on the desktop platforms, including:

-If I/we create or reset a password on a given platform, and save the new password on that platform, the new password doesn't always get propogated and saved for on all platforms.

-Resetting a password on a given platform seems to put 1password into offline mode on that platform, and attempts to get back to online mode by entering as second factor from current Google Authenticator code doesn't work ("stalls/spinning circle").

Should all this work? And if yes, what might I be configuring and/or doing wrong, and how do I fix it.

    I'm sorry that you're running into issues with 1Password on your devices. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Do you see all of your items when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)?
    2. When you update a password and it doesn't appear on your other devices, do you see it on 1Password.com? Or is it missing there as well?
    3. Does the changed password eventually appear on the other devices? Or does it never appear?

    Are you resetting the password for 1Password itself? Or for another password? Can you post a screenshot of the offline message that you see?
