Is it a good idea to delete old accounts?

I have some accounts that I haven't used in years. Should I delete them? I was just reviewing one, but I don't see anywhere on their site where I can delete it. How do you handle sites like that?

    My personal thought is, yes, you'd want to consider deleting them. I took these steps when a loved one passed. My main consideration was any social media accounts. Your needs may vary. Typically, you'd have to go through any process the site has available when it comes to the deletion. I'd recommend talking with the sites support staff to clarify the details.
