It's normal to see updates become available at different times across different browser extension stores. This isn't something that 1Password can control since it depends on the review process of each specific store.
I can confirm that 8.10.50 was submitted to the Firefox Add-ons store and our team is working with our friends at Firefox to get the update released. 🙂

There's no issue with the version of the desktop app and the browser extension not being exactly the same. You don't have to worry about running the exact same numbered version in both the desktop app and the browser extension, just make sure that you're running the latest version available for your particular browser.
Could perhaps 1P attempt to establish a higher priority review channel with Mozilla, given the popularity of 1P and its reputation?
I'm not aware of any such process but I'll share your feedback with the team. 🙂

We're actively communicating back and forth with our partners over at Mozilla to get the latest update to 1Password for Firefox released as soon as possible. When a new update for Firefox is available, I'll make sure to update this thread.
For the time being, 8.10.48 remains the latest update available and you can continue using it safely. 🙂

I'm happy to report that 8.10.52 is available for Firefox. 🙂
why do the extensions have the fourth number btw?
Due to limitations around providing beta/nightly versions of 1Password in the browser alongside the stable version, the browser extension uses 4 numbers to make up the version number rather than the 3 numbers that you see for the desktop version.

There's no issue with the version of the desktop app and the browser extension not being exactly the same. Sometimes a fix (or other changes) will be released for a bug/feature that only affects one platform, and not another, resulting in the version number being incremented for one platform but not another.
You don't have to worry about running the exact same numbered version in both the desktop app and the browser extension, just make sure that you're running the latest version available for each platform.
