1password doesn't work in background without menubar item
Hi,
I noticed that the 1P app doesn't work in the background when the menubar item is removed.
I prefer to not use the menubar item because the menubar size is rather limited, and I don't have never found a use for the 1P menubar item, I don't think I ever clicked it.
1Password gives the possibility of removing the menubar item, but this kills the background functionality of the app. Are there any plans to change this behaviour?
I would really prefer if I could remove the menubar item, but still use the shortcuts and most importantly - be able to copy a password and exit the app without the clipboard being cleared. The original problem that I wanted to solve was this (https://1password.community/discussion/138385/clearing-the-system-keyboard-when-closing-the-app) and I figured that the reason was that the app didn't run in the background after being closed (due to the lack of the menubar item).
Thank you

Hello @Kolja! 👋
Thank you for reaching out. Currently, the menu bar icon does indeed need to be turned on for 1Password to continue running in the background. That being said, I've let our Product team know that you'd like to see this behaviour changed in the future.
For the time being, there are a few third-party apps out there that can hide menu bar icons. Other users have reported finding those helpful. 🙂

It never crossed me that there would be third party apps to hide menubar items. Thanks!
I look forward to a native way to do it nevertheless :)0 -
Thanks again for the feedback and feature request. 🙂
