Connect with user on another family account

Hello,

I have a family account with my wife and I. My brother has a family account with himself and our parents.

I want to add my father to a vault to share a password. If I invite as a guest can he use his existing log in details? We want to avoid creating two separate accounts for obvious reasons.

    In short, no, your father will have two sets of account details because he's joining two different accounts – yours, and your brother's.

    It's just the same as having a work and personal 1Password account, for example.

    Your father can definitely use the same account password for each one, so that the same account password unlocks both accounts. The Secret Key will be different, but that'll only be needed when signing in to a new device from scratch. In day-to-day use, your father can use the account password to unlock both, or use biometrics like Face ID, Touch ID, and so on with compatible devices.
